Reader John Lownie writes in with yet another example of legal battles gone mad over trademark and copyright, involving a teacher doing some creative things with a character in a book and the estate of an author fighting over who owns the “rights” to a fictional character named Flat Stanley. Him looking up at a free show that’s kid friendly like at Circus Circus might be a fun idea, or there are free performances at places The Venetian, the Caesar’s Palace Atlantis Show (the show was under repair last time I was there but there’s an aquarium with a shark and manta ray he could be next to), or the fire shooting praying mantis at the Container Park.Wed, Jul 30th 2008 01:13pm - Mike Masnick The Cosmopolitan has a colorful spaceman sculpture casino level for their Opium show that would be a fun companion for a picture, also. Also the large dragon in front of the Ka Theater would be cool. Or Cirque du Soleil has some displays like a cardboard Mystère animated scene as you walk from Treasure Island to the second story walkway to Fashion Show next to the CVS, Ka has a decorated hallway as you walk into the MGM Grand from New York New York walkway and sometimes they have a character from the show you could take a picture with if you’re lucky. An example would be the Blue Man Group LED drums and light up chairs as you walk from The Luxor towards Excalibur on the atrium level. Even just the outside is cool looking, and way different from what type of pictures one would typically expect from “Vegas”.Ī lot of the Vegas shows have some kind of physical marketing “object” or scene designed for taking pictures that would be perfect for this. For educational I would definitely check out The Discovery Children’s Museum.
